Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) has kicked off the new year on a confident note, highlighting robust financial growth and an ambitious roadmap for the future. Speaking at the group’s annual press presentation, Deputy Chairman Stéphane Valeri reviewed SBM’s strong performance and outlined key development priorities across its iconic Monte-Carlo properties.
During the first half of the 2025–2026 financial year, SBM recorded a 10 percent rise in revenue, delivering a net profit exceeding €127 million. The festive season further reinforced the group’s global appeal, with more than 30,000 visitors gathering in Casino Square on December 31—double last year’s turnout.
Recent openings have significantly enhanced SBM’s luxury lifestyle portfolio. New additions such as the Monte-Carlo Cigar Club, the wine cellar circle at Hôtel de Paris, and the Groë pastry boutique have strengthened Monte-Carlo’s position as a premier destination for high-end hospitality, gastronomy and entertainment.
Looking ahead, SBM is pressing forward with major renovation and expansion programmes across its flagship assets. Large-scale upgrades are underway at Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo and Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, where hundreds of rooms and suites will be refurbished, alongside the introduction of new family-oriented facilities.
Further transformation is planned for the Casino Café de Paris, which will be reimagined as one of Europe’s most modern slot-focused gaming venues. The project aims to blend cutting-edge gaming technology with Monte-Carlo’s historic identity, ensuring the resort continues to attract both traditional and new-generation visitors.
